I think we have a strong need to address and to encourage the GLBT community to be active members of our Catholic faith. Not only to be members, but to be welcomed members, to feel  a part of this community. All too often I think they get individual parishes or individual communities that are open to that. But, I think to have such a public acceptance and inclusiveness that from...our hierarchical structure is  making it very difficult for them to feel that they're part of this community, even though they may have been raised Catholic, or may have been raised Christian, or whatnot. I'd really like to ensure that those folks don't walk away because they don't feel like somebody's advocating on their behalf or wanting them there. We do.
